Accident claims life of child in Chatham Township

Wright County Sheriff Gary L. Miller reports that around 9:00 a.m. on November 13, 2002 the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a skid loader accident at 734 Bice Ave. NW, in Chatham Township, that later claimed the life of Jaeger Paul Lee, a 22-month-old Buffalo resident.

Initial investigation indicates that the child’s father, Samuel Perry Lee, was operating a John Deere skid loader on his property, when he backed up, and noticed his son, Jaeger Lee, lying on the ground. Allina Ambulance and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, personnel discovered the child had multiple injuries, he was taken to Buffalo Hospital, then transported by air ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center, where the child later died of his injuries.

The accident was investigated by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
