The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive will be Saturday, May 11. All mail carriers, including rural mail carriers, will be collecting food on their routes. Individuals may also drop off food at the Maple Lake Post Office from 9 to 10 a.m. Nearly 1.2 billion pounds of food have been collected since the drive began in 1993, including more than 70 million pounds of food in 2012. All collected food will be given to the local food shelf.
