Gymnasts face Watertown-Mayer

It was a very close meet on Tuesday, December 21, against Watertown-Mayer. 
“We did pretty well, but we had a lot of girls gone,” said Nina Simonette. 
Perhaps due to those absences, the Irish ended up taking a loss. When the final score was announced, Watertown-Mayer scored a team total of 130.975 points. Maple Lake was not far behind, with a 124.3 total.
First up were the vaulters. Nina Simonette took second place with 8.6. In fourth, was Bonnie Jude totaling 8.45. Heather Schlueter managed to score 8.25, earning her seventh. Next came Jordan Sifferle with 7.9 in ninth. Right behind her, was Courtney Pribyl in 10th place with a 7.75.
The next event was bars. Heather Schlueter led the Maple Lake team when she took second place with 7.8. Courtney Pribyl came in fifth with a 7.55.
