Shamrock Golden Word of the Week

Maple Lake Elementary is starting a new vocabulary project called “Shamrock Golden Word of the Week,” which focuses on ‘Golden Words’ or words like exquisite, generous, gloomy, etc. which boost students’ expressive vocabulary. There will be one golden word of the week each week for the rest of the school year. Each classroom will be coming up with unique sentences using the golden word of the week and posting them by the pot of gold display in the school hallway. Below are the best sentences from each grade level:  
Shamrock Golden Word of the Week: Vibrant
Kindergarten: “The “Happy Dance” is a vibrant way to move,” from Carol Tongen’s class 
1st grade: “Vibrant tulips grow in Holland,” from Kelly Seibert’s class  
2nd grade: “Mary’s dress is very vibrant,” from Stacy Schneider’s class    
3rd grade: “There is a vibrant rainbow in the sky,” from Rhonda Carlson’s class  
4th grade: “The vibrant crowd cheered as Joe Mauer stepped up to bat,” from Tim Staloch’s class 
5th grade: “The rainbow fish’s colors were very vibrant,” from Tony Smith’s class 
6th grade: “Joey is as vibrant as a Mexican jumping bean,” from Steve Fuchs’ class.
