Waconia outscores Irish in gymnastics

After tasting victory at their last meet, their loss on Friday, December 10, against Waconia, left the Irish gymnasts a little disappointed.
“It wasn’t that we did badly, it was more that the other team was just a lot better than us,” said Kristi Reid.
Considering this, Maple Lake did pretty well, ending up with a total of 123.55 and Waconia earning 130.925.
The closest score this meet was on vault. Courtney Couette led in this event by scoring an 8.7. Right behind her was Nina Simonette with 8.5. Heather Schlueter, Jordan Sifferle, and Bonnie Jude all got 8.15. The team’s final score on vault added up to a total of 33.5, with Waconia less than one point ahead with their score of 34.25.
After vault, the girls hung out on the bars.
