Zimmerman gets win over Irish

The Maple Lake boys’ basketball team ran into their toughest opponent of the year thus far on Tuesday, December 21, when the Irish hosted the Zimmerman Thunder.
Nothing went right for the Irish who had difficulty working against Zimmerman’s relentless defensive pressure. By the end of the game, Zimmerman had forced the Irish to turn the ball over 26 times, most of which resulted in points for the Thunder. At the same time, Maple Lake was not able to get into an offensive rhythm and only scored 25 total points to 63 for Zimmerman for the second Irish loss of the season.
“Zimmerman dominated this game with their agressive man-to-man defense,” said Coach Tim Staloch.
