Irish volleyball team finishes regular season with win

Coming off an important and exciting win the previous Tuesday where the Irish won the title of Central Minnesota Conference Champions, the team carried their momentum into their Oct. 20 game at home. Maple Lake faced the Zimmerman Thunder and once again came out on top.
In the first set, the Irish looked prepared. They came out with strong serves and really performed well at the net. The Thunder had weak passing and had difficulty playing the ball back. Maple Lake continued their strength through game one and beat Zimmerman 25-22.
The Irish only improved after game one. In game two the team really came together. With great effort and communication, the Irish played the ball back at full force and made the Thunder fight for every point they earned. Maple Lake had an aggressive game two, Zimmerman failed to earn enough points and the Irish won 25-12.
