Magic get the best of Irish gymnasts

Traveling to Monticello for an away meet on Friday, Jan. 3, against the Magic, Maple Lake gymnasts were pumped up and ready to compete. The teams competed in a non-conference meet, which enabled certain gymnasts to push themselves and try newer, riskier skills they usually wouldn't attempt.
"The meet was a good base meet to try new skills like my cut-catch on bars," Heather Schlueter said.
Several individual accomplishments contributed to the overall team score. On the varsity vault, Jordan Sifferle placed third. On the uneven bars, Schlueter tied for third place against Monticello's Mikara Mitchell. On the balance beam, Katelyn Fuller took fifth place. On the floor, Jordan Sifferle took fifth place. She finished third with her all-around score.
