Members of the Camp Friendship Ladies Auxiliary recently presented a $12,000 check to True Friends President Ed Stracke at Camp Friendship near Annandale. The funds were raised at the group’s annual wine-tasting party on Dec. 6.
This was the 33rd year the group coordinated the popular wine-tasting party. Funds came from raffle ticket sales, a silent auction on more than 120 gift baskets and more than 200 attendee ticket sales.
Their contribution to the organization made for a terrific way to start the new year. True Friends significantly benefits from having such a dedicated group of women. Their continuous efforts every year provide the essential funds to continue the mission of helping others with disabilities.
The Ladies Auxiliary supports organization programs with financial and volunteer efforts. Plans are already underway for 2014’s events. Those interested in joining this active volunteer group should contact True Friends at 952-852-1010.
