Irish boys golfers bounce back at Osakis

 

On Thursday, May 15, the Irish boys golf team traveled to Pierz Golf Course, where they played in their fourth meet of the season. 
Placing first at the Pierz meet were Ty Griffin and Brody Harstad, both from Rockford, who each shot 40s. 
Sophomore Brandon Borell led the Irish team with 43 strokes. Behind Borell for the Irish were sophomore Aidan Jude and senior Jason Pomije who shot 47 and 48, respectively.
Finishing up for the Irish were Jordan Mills with 50 strokes and Jay Elsenpeter and Peyton Beehle,r who each shot 51.
"We didn't play very well today,” said coach Aaron Hegle. “We don't play very well at Pierz for some reason and it’s all mental but we just can't score very well there.”
