Maple Lake traveled to Howard Lake to finish off the regular season series with the Orphans on Wednesday night. The Lakers posted zeros in eight of their nine frames but managed to threaten the Orphans early and often by putting the ball in play, recording only two strikeouts and two walks while taking advantage of four Orphan errors. Despite all the pressure, only one Laker crossed home plate, but it was the only run that was necessary.
