Custodians prepping for new school year

Students and teachers have been out of the classrooms and hallways of Maple Lake schools since early June, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been empty. Custodians have been working intently to clean those spaces before their usual occupants return.
One focus has been on the school’s floors.
“We attended some training sessions over spring break, saw some deficiencies, got them up to speed and hit the floor running,” head custodian Brad Neutz told the school board at their Aug. 11 meeting. “There was some buildup on the floors. The guys worked on it really hard and have really taken pride in their work. They’re seeing the results we’re getting and are really on board with it.”
