KATHERINE A. HAPPE, Annandale

 

Katherine A. Happe, age 86, of Annandale, formerly of Maple Lake, died Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Centennial Villa Assisted Living in Annandale.
Mass of Christian Burial was at11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Maple Lake, with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant.  Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Timothy Catholic Cemetery, Maple Lake. Visitation was from 4-7:30 p.m., Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Maple Lake. Parish prayers were at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Katherine Ann Happe was born August 25, 1928, in Corinna Township to John and Katherine (Cordell) Geyen. On September 30, 1948, Katherine was united in marriage to Clarence Francis Happe at St. Timothy Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, the Maple Lake American Legion Auxiliary and was a Cub Scout leader.  Katherine was a day care provider for over 20 years. She enjoyed camping, taking road trips and shopping. Katherine’s family was the most important part of her life.
Katherine is survived by her children, Bonnie (Don) Hickman of Becker, John Happe of Howard Lake, Larry (Kathy) Happe of Montivideo, Celeste (Greg) Graham of Buffalo and Rebecca Happe of Annandale; daughter-in-law, Lisa Happe of Montivideo; 18 grandchildren, Shaun, Joe, Trystan, Jerad, Justin, Adam, Andy, Frank, Ryan, Nichole, Misty, Mariesha, Brittney, April, Olivia, Kari, Amanda and Christina; 17 great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Eliana, Emery, Zackaree, Addison, Evelyn, Keegan, Whesley, Suraya, Ethan, Levi, Alexa, Austin, Kiley, Levi, Luke, Ella and Addi; sister, Delores (Robert) Rohlin of Buffalo; and sister-in-law, Darlene Geyen of Annandale. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Happe; parents, John and Katherine Geyen; daughter, Linda Happe; son, Steve Happe; brothers, Lloyd, Donald, Myron, Norman and John "Jack" Geyen; and sisters, Lenora Stumpf, Melvina Stumpf, Helen Geyen and Evelyn Provo.
The pallbearers were Katherine's grandsons, Shaun Hickman, Joe Hickman, Trystan Tostenson, Jerad, Justin, Adam and Andy Happe, Frank Graham and Ryan Schaufler. Honorary pallbearers were Katherine's granddaughters, Nichole Hickman, Misty Hansen, Mariesha Sawyer, Brittney Anderson, April Kreza, Olivia Graham, Kari Schaufler, Amanda Gerads and Christina Schaufler.  Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox and Sarah Goelz provided the music for the service.  Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
