The Books with Boone bunch gathered at the Maple Lake Library last week, with a focus on flowers. They talked about the library neighbor, Maple Lake Floral, which will be included on the Maple Lake business tour later in the summer. While waiting their turns to read to Boone, the brindle greyhound, the readers searched the library for seed packets and recorded which flowers like sun and which prefer shade, and they planted a sunflower to take home. We hope to see pictures of many successful gardeners later in the summer.
