Class sizes remain average to low at Maple Lake schools

Smaller is better when it comes to class sizes. That is something both Maple Lake High School Principal David Hanson and Maple Lake Elementary Principal Andy Sawatzke agree upon. Fewer students per class allow for a more personalized instruction which leads to better scores on state testing and a better educational experience overall, they said. It’s something they both strive for and feel they have achieved, but not without a price.
“Our goal every day is to provide the best education to the kids that walk through these halls,” Hanson said.
