Maple Lake seventh grader Brooke Mergen claimed two first-place finishes in a Maple Lake gymnastics team loss to Litchfield last week. The Irish traveled to Litchfield Thursday, Dec. 22, where the team took on the non-conference Dragons and fell 122.325 to 118.525.
Despite the outcome, Irish coaches called it a “great meet . . . fun and laid back,” before Christmas break.
