MAML hockey wins three in a row

The Monticello-Annandale-Maple Lake boys hockey team won three games in a row last week to put them at 12-5 overall and 5-3 in Mississippi 8 Conference standings.
The Moose kicked off the week with a 5-2 win against conference opponent St. Francis on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
MAML’s Tanner Mros started scoring with an even-strength goal early in the first period, assisted by Keith Holme. The remainder of the period remained scoreless as the two teams battled for possession of the puck. Troy Dahlheimer struck early in the second period for the Moose, scoring with help from Nick Zwack and Keith Holme.
St. Francis got on the score board at 7:55 of the second period on a power play by Travis Carroll.
Ben Ward answered for the Moose unassisted to make the score 3-0 in MAML’s favor going into the third period. Dahlheimer opened the third period with a goal, assisted by Ward and Honza Stibingr.
