All the work students did for the Parent-Teacher Association’s fall fundraiser was rewarded, Tuesday, Feb. 14, when they had the opportunity to tape their principal to the wall.
If students sold five or more items in November they got to place a piece of duck tape onto Elementary Principal Andy Sawatzke.
“It took collaboration (to work together with another person or group to achieve something) with students and staff to get him stuck to the wall,” Kath Heffron of the Elementary Media Center said. Collaboration was also February’s Word of the Month. The money earned from the fundraiser goes toward purchasing student planners, and library books, hosting lyceums and I Love to Read Month activities.
