C&W Spinning to expand

Business is growing for C&W Spinning Inc. in Maple Lake, and it’s time for its building at 238 West Division Street to grow with it.
Owner Dale Corey is planning a 7,500-square-foot expansion that could create three or four more jobs by next fall.
“We’re crossing our fingers we can add about 7,500 square feet. It’s all at the architect yet. He’ll determine how big we can go,” Corey said.
The addition, which will be a separate building behind the current structure in the lot where the Maple Lake Café used to be, will act as storage for the booming metal working company, freeing up more space in the current building for production.
C&W came to Maple Lake in 1992 after 18 years operating in various cities around Wright and Hennepin counties. Corey’s father, Daryl, started the business in 1974 on the family’s farm in Buffalo. Eventually Daryl moved the operation into the city of Buffalo. Over the next few years the shop was moved to Rogers and Silver Creek. Daryl passed away in 1988 when the business was in Silver Creek, Dale said.
Dale became the new owner and a few years later moved to downtown Maple Lake, and he said there is no place he would rather be.
