Irish down Bulldogs

The Irish boys basketball team defeated the Paynesville Bulldogs 72-59 on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at home, then narrowly lost a fast-paced match-up against the Kimball Cubs on Friday, March 3, to end the regular season.
The Irish shot well and played a strong team defense the first half against Paynesville, out-scoring the Bulldogs 37-19 to take an 18-point lead at the break.
The Irish weren’t as productive on either end of the floor in the second half, allowing Paynesville to out-score them 40-35, but in the end they couldn’t close the gap.
Overall, the Irish had very balanced scoring and outscored the Bulldogs 14-8 in second-chance points.
