Prospects look good for Irish softball

The Maple Lake softball team is off and running with a crew of experienced players that are loaded with talent.
The Irish return the majority of the squad that played on its state-runner up team two years ago and were part of last year’s group that finished 12-2 in the Central Minnesota Conference, one game out of first place, and 19-6 overall.
Although young, with only two seniors on the team, the girls are “cocky, hard nose, passionate about the game, smart and they play hard,” coach Tim Knudson said.
