Stokman leads boys to third at Kimball

The Maple Lake boys golf team shot well at two meets last week.
On Thursday, May 4, the Irish traveled to Kimball for a nine-hole Central Minnesota Conference event at Kimball.
On Monday, May 8, the golfers traveled to Annandale’s Southbrook Golf Course for a 14-team regional showdown.
Joseph Stokman led Maple Lake to a third-place team finish at Kimball with a 46. Devon Lyons shot a 47; Jackson Gallagher finished with 49 strokes; Ben Weese shot a 51; and Sam Zappa produced a 52.
Kimball and Pierz finished ahead of the Irish in first and second.
Stokman led the Irish again at Southbrook with a 96 on the 18-hole course. Zappa and Lyons finished with a 97; Gallagher shot a 102; and Weese posted a 128.
The Irish’s team total of 392 was good enough for 12th place.
Maple Lake was scheduled to play again on Tuesday, May 9, at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Annandale. On Monday, May 15, the Irish will travel to Koronis Golf Course in Paynesville for a 9 a.m. tee time.
