Visitors to the Minnesota State Fair this weekend may find a little bit of Maple Lake there waiting for them.
Just off Dan Patch Avenue between Underwood and Cooper streets in the KARE11 Health Fair, Abby Cota, Maple Lake’s new baker will be giving away samples of her culinary creations.
The owner of Clover Meadow Bakery in Maple Lake was selected to sponsor the 2017 Vendor Gluten-Free Food List at the Great Minnesota Get Together.
Cota and her staff gave gluten and allergy friendly desserts and breads to more than 2,002 people last Sunday, Aug. 27 in the three hours they were at the fair. They will be back on Sunday, Sept. 3, for more of the action.
“It was amazing, so awesome to be there as a vendor,” Cota said. “It was such a different experience. There was a whole crowd of people waiting for us when we got there. One hundred cupcakes went in 10 minutes.”
