The Annandale-Maple Lake-Howard Lake Waste Water Commission has no more need of Maple Lake’s EQ basin after installing two new pumps at the Maple Lake site last week.
Plant operator Joe Haller told the commission at its Thursday, Sept. 21, meeting that the pumps were being installed that day and that the commission could now give responsibility of the EQ basin back to Maple Lake.
“There is no need for the commission to have the EQ basin now,” Secretary Kelly Hinnenkamp said. “The commission needs to make a motion to approve and send a letter to Maple Lake then Deb (Geyen) and Lynn (Kissock) can bring it before their council and get advice on what to do with it.”
