The Maple Lake High School football team lost its Homecoming game, 20-15, to the Holdingford Huskers on a pleasant, fall evening, Friday, Sept. 29, despite a valiant effort on the field.
The Huskers jumped to a 7-point lead as time expired in the first quarter. Irish players rallied for a touchdown of their own in the second when Alex Toedter reached the end zone from two yards out to cut Holdingford’s lead to 7-6. The extra point was no good.
