Wright-Hennepin makes huge Toys For Tots donation

Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association (WH) was an official drop-off site for Toys for Tots and held a toy drive from November 27 to December 15. During that time, WH employees, directors and members collected a total of $3,555 and more than 350 toys for families in Hennepin County. WH also hosted an event with Santa and Mrs. Claus at its Rockford headquarters on Friday, December 15. Toy donations were collected during the event, which was attended by more than 80 children. Operation Round Up, which is funded by WH members, also donated $5,000 to Toys for Tots Buffalo and $5,000 to Community Toys for Tots to purchase gifts for children ages 0-17. Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility that provides power to rural Wright County and western Hennepin County. The cooperative has been a corporate citizen to the area since 1937 and currently serves more than 50,000 electric accounts. It is headquartered in Rockford.
