By Brenda Erdahl

Fans of love songs and Broadway tunes can get their fill this weekend and do a little good for their neighbors at the same time. On Saturday, Feb. 10, musicians Dan and Karin Wickman will put on a free will fundraiser concert for the local Love INC – Big Woods, a non-profit ministry helping to alleviate poverty in the Buffalo, Hanover, Maple Lake, and Annandale area. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Maple Lake for an “enchanting evening of music, community and chocolate.”

The theme of the evening is “A Trip Down Memory Lane” and will feature love songs and Broadway Tunes from the 1930s to the 1960s. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

The Wickman’s have been involved in music ministry in the Evangelical church for almost 55 years. They have traveled all over the world sharing their musical talents and message.

Both graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul. Dan with a degree in church music and vocal performance, and Karin with a degree in social work and a minor in music. The pair has performed 10 Christmas tours with Fellowship Ministries out of Phoenix, Arizona and enjoy leading worship for senior retreats and events.
