Softball team wins championship

The 14U softball team from Maple Lake won the championship at the Litchfield Dragon Classic on June 19. The team began its championship run by defeating the Alexandria Red team by a score of 8-7. That close game was followed by a blowout of the Willmar 2 team by a score of 15-0 in a game that only went three innings. Maple Lake won the 14U championship by defeating the Willmar 1 team 11-6.
