BCT auditions coming up

Auditions for Tuesdays With Morrie are coming up fast at Buffalo Community Theater.
Tuesdays With Morrie, from the acclaimed best seller, is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.
Director Jack Neveaux is looking for experienced actors with an interest in expanding their understanding of humanity and entertaining like-minded audiences.
Auditions will be held Friday, Jan. 15, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. or Saturday, Jan. 16, from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Auditions will be held at the Buffalo Discovery School Auditorium, 214 1st Ave. NE, Buffalo. Audition appointments for a specific time can be made online by going to the BCT website audition page and connecting to “Sign-up Genius”. (Drop-in auditioners are also welcome). If needed, callbacks will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
Performances of Tuesdays With Morrie are scheduled April 22-24, 29-30 and May 1, 2016, with possible additional dates at community and senior centers during and around that time period. Schedule will be firm at auditions.
Preparation for the audition should include reading through the audition sides. The link to them is also on the BCT website (bctmn.org) audition page. Questions can be addressed to jcknvx@gmail.com
Volunteers are needed in all aspects of this production, so folks are invited to stop by during auditions to discuss their interest, and/or to connect with Buffalo Community Theater on Facebook and through their website: bctmn.org.
