Virginia M. Rotsolk, age 83, of Silver Creek Township, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Annandale, with Rev. Dave Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the church.
Virginia (Gina) Mae (Olson) Rotsolk was born on June 26, 1933 in rural Annandale to Fred F. and Annie D. (Carlson) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Annandale. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Howard Rotsolk, on September 11, 1964, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. She worked at Lakedale Telephone Company until 1969 and then Lundeen Brothers Ford for approximately 30 years, retiring in 1998. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where her church family was ever so important to her. She loved gardening and flowers, going to Christian Women, Christian Seniors, and her former sewing club. She also enjoyed rummage sales.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard of Silver Creek Township; sisters, Elizabeth Olson of Annandale and Barb Crouse of Cottonwood; sister-in-law, Maxine DeVitt of Redwood City, CA; niece, Carol (Greg) Bossuyt of Cottonwood, their children, Jared (Tessa) Bossuyt and their son, Grady of Clarkfield, Parry (Ginny) Bossuyt of Cottonwood, and Jory Bossuyt of Granite Falls, nephew, Curt (Karen) Crouse of Rosemount and their children, Carleen Crouse of Eagan, Olivia Crouse of Rosemount, and Mallory Crouse of Grand Forks, ND, niece, Cathie (Dan) Bueltel of Minneota, and their children, Dylan Fenger of St. Louis Park, and Quinn Fenger of Moorhead, and niece, Carin (Mark) Engler of Fargo, ND and their children, Mason and Madison Engler of Fargo, niece, Martha (Lin) McDevitt-Pugh of Amsterdam, nephew, Kevin (Jeannie) McDevitt of Gilroy, CA, and their children, Kenny, Kellen and Lauren, niece, Amy (Jim) Weishaar of San Carlos, CA and their children, Lisa and Garret, nephew, Kyle (Nicole) McDevitt of Woodside, CA, and their children, Monique and Sophia; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Henry and Nina Rotsolk; her oldest sister, Helen Olson; and her brother-in-law, Robert Crouse.
Orma Lou Jacobsma will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
