Irish choir earns superior rating


Maple Lake High School’s 9th through 12th grade choir received three superior ratings at a Minnesota State High School League sanctioned Large Group Contest at Watertown-Mayer on Wednesday, March 1. The choir performed “Come to Me, O My Love” by Allan Petker and “Will You Teach Me?” by Victor C. Johnson for three judges. Each judge gave a rating on the following categories: intonation, rhythm, balance/blend, tone quality, attacks/releases, interpretation/musicianship, diction, choice of literature, facial expression and other performance factors. The choir received a superior rating from each judge.
