One fateful day, 11 years ago, Helen Mooney walked into the Maple Lake Messenger and said to then publisher Theresa Andrus, “I think we should have a library. Everybody else has one.”
“Theresa grabbed hold and carried it forward. That is just the kind of person she is,” Terry Mooney, a member of the library board said.
