Joshua Medley is a natural storyteller.
He’s been told he has a rich, pleasant tone, and his knack for voices keeps his audience engaged. It’s no wonder the Maple Lake High School senior earned a spot at the State Speech Meet his first year out.
Medley advanced by finishing third out of nine storytellers at the Section 4A competition on Saturday, April 8, at Watertown-Mayer. He will compete against the best speakers in the state on Saturday, April 22, in Apple Valley.
An actor with some experience, Medley decided to give speech a try for the first time this year. It wasn’t easy.
