The Maple Lake Lakers split their two games last week, putting them towards the top of the North Star League with a 2-1 overall mark. Derek Rachel showed his power this week, hitting at least one double in each game.

Visiting Montrose/Waverly wasted little time jumping on Friday night’s starter Luke Fobbe, putting the home team in an early hole. The Lakers rallied around Fobbe, putting up one in the first, two in the second, and another in the third. Nick Preisinger and Logan Orazem each contributed two more innings to finish out the game.
