The boys and girls cross country teams competed at two meets last week.
On Monday, Sept. 18, the Irish traveled to Pierz where the girls claimed an impressive third place, the highest any Maple Lake team has finished at that event.
The girls came in close behind the No. 2 in state ranked Annandale and ahead of section foe, Mora.
“If we can race like that, or a little better, we will definitely be in the hunt come section time,” coach Ben Youngs said.
