Volleyball moves to 19-0 on the season

The Irish volleyball team claimed two more decisive wins last week, boosting their record to 19-0 overall and 4-0 in the Central Minnesota Conference.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26, Maple Lake took on Mayer Lutheran, the No. 1 ranked team in class 1A and the defending Class A champs. In a great display of high school volleyball, the Irish, who are ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, defeated the Crusaders 3-1 with game scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-27 and 26-24.
On Thursday, Sept. 28, Maple Lake hosted CMC foe Holdingford during Homecoming week. The Irish pulled off the Homecoming win, defeating the Huskers 3-0 with game scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-10.
