The Lightning wrestlers competed in the Section 6AA wrestling tournament for the chance at a berth in the state tournament. The Lightning won the quarter-final match, but lost in the semi-finals, Saturday, Feb. 18, in Foley.
In the quarter-finals, ANML faced the Big Lake Hornets. The higher-seeded Lightning squeaked past by the slimmest of margins. The dual ended in a tie, but the Lightning won the tie-breaker.
