Curtis “Curt” Edward Maxson, age 61, of Maple Lake, died March 2nd, 2017. Preceded in death by brother, Scott Maxson; and father, David Maxson. Survived by wife, Michelle Maxson; first wife and the mother of his children, Haven Hawkins; daughters, Lacy (Nick) Atkinson, Misty Maxson and Ivy Maxson; grandchildren, Alexia Dunsmore, Annika Atkinson, Atlee Atkinson and Auriella Kraus; mother, Grace Maxson; niece and nephew, Melissa Killian and Andrew Maxson; sister-in-law, Michelle Maxson; and many other loving friends and relatives.
Curt was a longtime employee of MN Supply Company and Herculift. He was an Air Force Veteran and former commander at the American Legion Post 131 in Maple Lake. Curt loved dogs, especially his former dog Molly and he was a MN Vikings fan. He was very handy and enjoyed spending time in his garage using his tools.
Curt will be missed dearly by those who loved him but we take comfort in knowing he’s resting in peace.
A Celebration of Curt’s life will be held 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 23rd, at the Maple Lake Legion Club, 220 1st St. W., Maple Lake. The family requests that you share your favorite stories of Curt at the service. Dinner and refreshments will be served.
