The Maple Lake speech team tied for second place at the Central Minnesota Conference meet, Thursday, March 23, in Maple Lake.
Placing for the Irish were: Linsey Hanson, third place in discussion; Olivia LaTour and Josie Niemec, sixth place in duo interpretation; Caleb Hagen and Ivan LaTour, fifth place in duo interpretation; Emily Miller and Katie Goelz, conference champions in duo interpretation; Josie Wagner, third place in extemporaneous reading; Lucy Greenhagen, fifth place in extemporaneous speaking; Mary Miller, sixth place in great speeches; Emma Carlson fourth place in informative speaking; Kayla Hanson sixth place in serious drama; Claire Carlson, fifth place in serious poetry, and Alyssa Hadler, third place in serious prose.
