It’s Irish Party time Countdown to St. Pat’s Day Festival has begun

It’s time for the Irish Party, which means the St. Patrick’s Day celebration is just around the corner.
The Irish Party, put on by the Maple Lake Chamber of Commerce, is the official kick-off to the City’s annual March festivities that include the 40th annual parade on Saturday, March 11.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4, at the Maple Lake American Legion Club, with a social hour and silent auction, followed by dinner, entertainment by comic magician Jerry Frasier, and finally, an award ceremony.
The event not only serves as a prologue to the St. Patrick’s Day fun, but a fundraiser for the celebration. Last year 61 baskets were donated for the silent auction and coordinators are hoping for just as many this year. So far, MP NexLevel has donated four Twins tickets; Rhino has donated a sled, and H&H Archery has provided a trail cam.
HH Catering will serve a meal of roast beef and chicken, mashed potatoes, salad and dessert. The six candidates vying for Maple Lake Ambassador titles will pass out dessert after the meal. The girls will also be selling cards and speaking a little about themselves, Cathy Elfstrand, one of the event coordinators said.
