The Irish baseball team snuck past Paynesville twice in one night, Friday, April 21, at Irish Stadium, beating the Bulldogs 4-2 in game one and 5-4 in game two of a double-header to boost its record to 6-1 overall.
Maple Lake struck first in the opening inning off a Ben Goelz single.
The Bulldogs put its two runs past the plate in the top of the third inning.
The Irish tied the game in the bottom of the fourth when Nate Hogan singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
