After 27 years, Maple Lake’s Lady Bug Garden Club is pulling up its roots and calling it quits.
The group is perhaps best known for establishing the Lady Bug Garden Club Park, a mini respite for nature lovers between Ed’s Barber Shop and the Manuel building. For the last couple weeks, past and present members have been literally pulling flowers it once planted there to make room for a more maintenance-free area that might one day be the home of a new city Christmas tree.
