Volleyball team improves to 27-0

The Maple Lake volleyball team continued its perfect run last week as the end of the regular season approaches. The Irish improved to 27-0 and 6-0 in Central Minnesota Conference standings with wins over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa and Dassel-Cokato.
Maple Lake took on CMC foe B-B-E on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and came away with a 3-0 win, then on Thursday, Oct. 12, the Irish defeated D-C 3-0 with game scores of 25-15, 25-9 and 25-23.
The Maple Lake team sailed past B-B-E 25-14, 25-15 and 25-13 at home. Amber Klug was five-for-seven serving with seven kills, 11 assists, three digs and one block; Linsey Rachel was 10-for-12 serving with 12 kills, three assists and seven digs; Calli Maki was seven-for-seven serving with six digs; Ella Kiebel was 19-for-19 serving with one ace, 19 assists and two digs; Maddi Maas was two-for-two serving with six assists; Mollie Scheiber was seven-for-seven serving with one ace, seven kills and five digs; Kaleigh Beehler was 14-for-14 serving with two aces, four kills and one block; Katie Goelz had seven kills and three blocks; Mackenna Brown was one-for-one serving with four digs; Brielle Paumen had two kills and two blocks; Alexus Jackson was zero-for-one serving with one dig; and Anna Becker had one dig.
