Festival of Trees makes history bright

The 11th annual Festival of Trees display at the Wright County Heritage Center in Buffalo included 60 decorated trees, many with traditional themes. At left is a traditional Norwegian upside-down tree. The tree gallery will be open until January 5, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tuesday's the display will be open until 8 p.m. Each year the Wright County Historical Society creates this venue as a gift back to the community and invites everyone to come and enjoy it. The event is free and open to the public and includes many interactive opportunities, including scavenger hunts, voting for your favorite trees and a santa writing station. (Photos by Bob Zimmerman)
