Maple Lake senior Devon Lyons scored a goal in the Monticello Moose’s 4-2 victory over North Branch, Friday, Dec. 15, at the Moose Sherritt Ice Arena in Monticello. After a scoreless first period, North Branch put themselves on the board with a goal two minutes into the second period. Monticello answered with two of its own, including a goal from Lyons with assists by Huntley Hinz and Matt Miller. North Branch scored what would be its final goal at 12 minutes of the second. Monticello answered then scored another goal in the third period to claim the 4-2 win. Troy Dahlheimer had two goals for the Moose and Brady Meyer had two. Assists came from Cody Moline, Jack Saunders, Brian Cornelius, Jacob Richards and Nick Foldesi. Moose goalie Tyler Klatt played 51 minutes and made 19 saves out of 21 shots on goal. The Moose were scheduled to play Tuesday, Dec. 19, at home against Becker, and again on Thursday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. at Rogers.
