All-around scores are based on athletes’ performances in four events. Elsenpeter claimed a season high 9.5 for her performance on the vault for second place. She was also third on the bars with an 8.9, 12th on the beam with an 8.8, and ninth on the floor with a 9.250 for an all-around total of 36.450. The top three scores in the allaround advance. “I’m really proud. I worked so hard this season and I finally accomplished it,” said Elsenpeter who has had her eye on state since the seventh grade. She has had some good seasons in the past, coming close to advancing on the beam and vault, but things always seemed to fall apart at sections.
