The Maple Lake gymnastics team earned a season high team score at the Granite Ridge Invite, Saturday, Feb. 10, to finish third in Granite Ridge Conference standings.
Gracie Elsenpeter tied for second on the vault with a 9.3, finished second on the bars with a 9.025, was fifth on the beam with an 8.275, fourth on the floor with a 9, and finished second in the all-around with a 35.6.
Olivia Latour tied for fifth on the vault with an 8.8, tied for 10th on the bars with a 7.9, was 10th on the beam with an 8.05, and finished eighth in the all-around with a 33.150.
Brooke Mergen tied for 10th on the bars with a 7.9, and was 10th on the floor with an 8.7.
“We had so many great routines and personal bests,” Head Coach Kaitlyn Helmbrecht said. “I’m super proud of each gymnast and what they have achieved and have yet to achieve this season.”
The Irish are now gearing up for sections on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Litchfield. The junior varsity team also had a fine showing at conferences, Saturday. They broke team records on the beam, the floor, and the team total to finish second in the GRC.
