Daniel A. Knoblauch, age 85, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully February 27, 2018.
Born in Minneapolis on June 7, 1932, he grew up on a dairy farm near Maple Lake, MN. He attended high school in Maple Lake. Dan married Edna V. Paumen on August 23, 1952 and they raised six children. He lived many years in Buffalo, MN. Dan was a skilled welder at various companies and taught welding at St. Cloud Area Vocational Technical Institute. He had a talent for figuring out how to put anything together and loved building and renovating houses.
Preceded in death by parents, Daniel A. and Kathryn Knoblauch; sons, Glenn and Daniel III; granddaughters Rebecca and Bethany; greatgrandson Dominic; brother, Charles Knoblauch; sister-in law, Joan Knoblauch; brother and sister-in laws, Donald Paumen, Jerome and Anne Paumen, Marvin and Fay Paumen, Kenneth and Lila Paumen.
Survived by sons, Gary, Buffalo, MN; David (Christine) Seaside, CA; daughters Mary (Greg) Duerr, Buffalo, MN; Anne Opsahl, Montrose, MN; 10 grandchildren Nick, Rachel, Megan, Aaron, James, Abigail, Brandon, Andy, Veronica, and John; 17 great-grandchildren; former wife, Edna Knoblauch; brother, Richard; sister-in laws, Beatriz Knoblauch and Angie Paumen; and many nieces and nephews. Dan was a loving and kind father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be sadly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 300 1st Ave NW, Buffalo MN.
