Thursday, March 22 is Maple Lake Elementary School’s Annual Arts & Academics family night. The evening starts at 5:15-6 p.m. with a pizza meal (one slice of pizza, carrots, bottle of water, and cookie) while the silent auction is going on and the Art Show is found throughout the building. Each student has at least one piece of art showcased from art class. The Media Center/Library will have posters hanging around the book shelves.
Don’t forget to take a peek at the ceiling tiles in the media center- these are the ones that were painted last year.
Following the pizza meal, there will be several rooms assigned to different math games from 6:10- 6:40 p.m. and 6:45-7:15 p.m. (we encourage students to move from one room to another at the end of the first session to experience several games throughout the night). The finale of the Arts & Academics family night will be held in the gymnasium from 7:15-7:30 p.m. where we will draw over 25 names for a chance to win a board game. The Silent Auction items will be announced as well.
We look forward to seeing our MLE families and school staff come together for an evening filled with good food, board games, prizes, and silent auction winners.
