MLHS Students are the new Sounds in Town

A new band came crashing into town just in time for St Patty’s weekend called COLLISION. This group of 10th grade boys all currently active in the MLHS Band program decided to expand their musical ambition and share their talents with the community. They landed themselves a gig on Friday nights from 7-9 p.m. at The V by HH in Maple Lake during the Friday night Fish Fry. This rock-centric youth group spews tunes from the Doors and Elvis to Green Day with a little bit of pop-rock mixed in to satisfy a broad audience. Learning, playing and performing together is a transforming experience, they said. New friendships are formed with fellow musicians. COLLISION’S next performance is scheduled for Friday, March 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at The V by HH. They are pictured, from left, Luke Stoez on guitar, Ivan LaTour lead vocals, Rayne Jacobson on percussion and Ben Lewis on guitar.
